Not true, though--two of my cars, including the one I drive now, were 
ex-rental, bought at less than 1 year old, with less than 10,000 miles on 
the odometer. It is my favorite way to buy a car. I know they have been 
well-maintained, and the price in both cases was about 2/3 of the price of 
the corresponding new car.
