The totally soggy equipment consisted of a D4, D800E, 200-400 and 70-200 - all at present with Nikon - I am keeping my fingers crossed that something can be salvaged. Anyway, I had no camera with me in Bandhavgarh, but the tour organizers managed to scrounge up a Canon 7D and 100-400mm lens for me to use in Kanha. Never shot Canon before, so it was not easy or instinctive, but we live and learn...(-: However, though we had plenty of tiger sightings, there was only one really photo worthy one, a ten minute walk with a dominant male called Munna, a common enough nickname given to young boys in Central and North India but most inappropriate for a huge male tiger. The funny thing about him is that the natural markings on his forehead read out as CAT.
