Does that question trump your overall first impression
of the work? ;-) In other words, is it possible you
may be tripping over a prejudice? (high key vignettes)

George, I did not mean to sound offended in my previous post.
I'm aware that you have enjoyed and appreciated the work, as
you have stated several times. You are correct to notice/mention
that "Groomers" is a departure from the series. I've been
playing with various techniques of late, and probably should
have been more clear.  Please do not hesitate to critique as
you see fit...your keen attention to detail is greatly
appreciated on my end, at least!
