The viewfinder is on the back of the camera.  

You want accurate focusing?  Tap the bottom button once for high 
magnification and twice for ultra high magnification (far greater than the 
M6 rangefinder with stacked optical pieces, which I had many years ago), set 
the focus, then compose and take the shot.  I've found it to be very 
accurate, even in light ? or lack of it ? that the M cannot focus in. 

There's also an EVF available for those that don't like the live view; I've 
tried it and prefer the rear live view.
