Steve, I have used Fotodiox adapters for several years to connect
Leica-R lenses to my Olympus 4/3 bodies. Because of this, I ordered
Fotodiox adapters for both R and M lenses to use on the X-E1.

The R adapter is a perfect fit and works fine. There are no electrical
contacts, and none are necessary, because the lens is fully manual.
Here is a photo:

I mated the M adapter to an LTM/M CameraQuest adapter, because all of my
rangefinder lenses are LTM. The adapters had to be twisted hard to get
full engagement. I have tried a couple of lenses briefly, and all works
well, but I'm not sure how I will separate the two adapters if that
becomes necessary. Again, there are no electrical contacts.

You can search for the adapters at Fotodiox.com
