Nice article, though I very politely, with no offense meant, beg to
disagree with the premise that B&W is preferable to colour. Both have their
places - personally I prefer colour, and convert to B&W generally only when
I cannot get a good result in colour.

Just to put it in perspective, I too grew up shooting B&W film, ORWO, East
German brand made under license in India. I got my first camera in 1962,
when I was 10 years old, and I could afford colour regularly only after I
started working in 1975.
