I found manually focusing even 1:1.4 and 1:2 lenses next to impossible on my 
5D;
putting the much slower long glass on it, sometimes with a 1.4 X or 2 X - 
ridiculous.

And believe it or not - as you wish - the micro contrast, fine detail simply 
isn't there.
At least I cannot achieve it with my 5D when compared to DMR and M8.

I do seem to see it in the Xpro 1 files - though I've never seen a RAW file 
from the Fuji's.
