Mark: The current projection of engineering State of the Art for 2020 is 10k
cores. So I think by 2525 it will be a little long in the tooth.

Tina: What do you really want to do with the machine anyway?

Seriously get a good spec m/c with a decent (fast) quad or six-core, a lot of
memory and a LOT of disk and make sure that the disks have plenty of
cache...and
get it built by someone you KNOW will be around the day after tomorrow. That
Seagate disk is too new at this point, go for more of something smaller.
PLEASE
don't go custom unless you have the capability to maintain it.
