Hello again Luggers,

We visited the Bagan daily market and I photographed this seller holding her
money in her mouth - not enough hands!!

On day three we drove about 50km from Bagan to Mount Popa - where a temple
is built on top of a volcanic cap - 3000 meters above sea level and reached
by 777 steps. I hadn't been to the gym for several days so this was my work
out - in about 38 C temperature - and with bare feet too as required in all
temples.

A view of the 777 steps - thank goodness they were covered to shield
pilgrims from the sun.

As with many temples in Asia - there are many monkeys at Mount Popa - and
they are not the least bit shy about getting into people's pictures or
stealing snacks or glasses!

Burma Buddhism seems very gentle - no austerity - here is a young monk
buying candy.

This old monk was meditating very deeply and either he did not see me or
chose to ignore me as I came in for a closeup

On the way to Mount Popa we stopped to see a one buffalo peanut grinder -
and Esther stood on the grinder to apply more pressure to the process.

Please look large - C&C welcome as always.

Cheers
