To me they don't scream out HDR like most HDR shots do but have impressive
wide range. Way more than I'm use to seeing. Only one shot really looks like
a heavy handed use of HDR to me. He could be a bit of a master of HDR.
I don't know how many people are really able to use it blending into their
other work and not sticking out.
A guy showed me his stuff a few months ago as I drank coffee at a starbucks
at a B&N bookstore and he showed me stuff from his HDR folder and it was
good he kept it in that folder as it would not have worked in with the rest
of his stuff.
Is it really hat hard to controll? I don't know as I've only done it maybe
once or twice.
