Subject: [Leica] WTB: Nikon D2HS and lenses

Hi Phil,

Try KEH, they are a big used camera store and rate their inventory for
condition, but do not give shutter use info, and decent prices. their
ratings are pretty conservative, and they are great as far as customer
service. They have a big inventory of older Nikon film and Digital cameras
and lenses.

I'm looking for a Nikon D2HS body, preferably one with a "low" shutter count
(below 100k.)

Yeah, I know it's old and all that jazz. I know how it works very well and I
know that it can take any beating I give it. Right now I need cheap,
reliable gear, preferably with controls that are close to my D2x and I want
a camera that shares batteries with it as well as one that won't freak out
if I put a card from the D2x in it. (I found out that Leica M8 and M9 bodies
will flip out and lock up at the least convenient time if cards are shared
between them. I know this doesnt occur on these Nikons.)

If any of y'all have such a beast you're willing to part with, I'd be
grateful and happy to buy from a trusted LUG member over one of the big
names in used gear or off ebay or craigslist (actually, I really dont want
to buy off of the latter two at all.)

I'm also looking for a 17-55 f/2.8 AF-S lens and a 180mm f/2.8 AF-D or a
300mm f/4 AF-D. It turns out that I need a bit more reach.?

Thanks all,
Phil Forrest
