So if I'm shooting people or dogs with a film or full frame digital Leica -
particularly if I am reasonably close to them - I'm still going to get more
accurate representations of their physical selves if I use a 50 rather than
a 35?

Does that mean the laws of optics have not changed very much over the last
sixty years?
