[Leica] Bonita Falls

Went on a hike yesterday to Bonita Falls.  Yes, this is in SoCal, just east 
of LA, but the weather down here as been pretty cold for this area, and the 
hike, mostly in the shady side of a canyon, was covered with ice and what 
passes for snow down here.

The trail head up a steep canyon following the stream that comes over the 
waterfall.  Lots of ice in places.

Finally we reach the waterfall. Not a lot of water this time of year, but 
the ice made it quite unique and interesting.

Notice the graffiti all over the rocks.  This is about a mile from the trail 
head, and all along the wash to the canyon, and even up the canyon right by 
the falls there was an abundance of graffiti.  Really sad.  Some of it has 
been painted out, but has been re-graffitied with impunity.

Bonita falls is suppose to be the 2nd tallest falls in California, but you 
only get to see the lower section which is about 90 feet.  I think they are 
cheating in calling it a 400 foot falls.  At least with Yosemite you can see 
the upper and lower falls at the same time, but I still call that one 
cheating, too.

Comments welcome.  Some taken with 35-70/4 to keep with Leica content.  All 
on D600.
