Sorry, Sonny.  Sometimes people don't understand about pets and their
elevated status in the family.  When I was in undergrad, my cat Howard (21
pounds and a hunter) became ill with cancer - it was not curable but I spent
a lot of money (for me at that time) before the vet told me I had to put him
down.  I still miss him.  That was 50 years ago more or less.

We said goodbye this week to our dear Henri, the coolest and funniest Kat
that ever crossed my path. He was gravely ill. The staff on duty at the Vet
were those that gave Henri the Kitten his first check-ups and shots.
