Ooooh, that is excellent.  Now I must look up Dead Vlei.  In the Other Time,
I shot mostly TMax100 and TriX, usually in TMax RS, D76 or one of the pyro
formulas.  Sometimes I would have to increase the dMax by toning the neg in
selenium 1:3 or even sepia toner.

Real estate counts for a lot; my shot above is on 135 Plus-X.  Using large
format would be nice; Tri-X in larger than 135 formats is really beautiful,
even if TX and TXP aren't as tonally pleasing (to me) and don't respond to
filtration as elegantly as Plus-X did.  But I couldn't have carried a large
format camera through Africa.
