A Lockeed Lodestar, once a proud hauler of corporate America before the jets
arrived, sinks into oblivion at the Yolo County airport back lot. At least
there are no obvious birds' nests. But if you look closely you'll see the
spiders have made their homes amongst her cylinder heads and the remains of
her exhaust manifolds.

When I was growing up there were a pair of these at the Vandalia, OH airport
serving several major companies. Then the Gulfstream I turboprop arrived and
the old birds were swept away. Then the GII's got their own hangers further
down the ramp.

I love the old birds.

Oh, NEX-7, Leica 35mm sumicron, probably about f8. Yes, I used focus peaking
but being able to zoom in on a portion of the image is more useful.
