Subject: [Leica] Big news D600 and RX1

Its being compared directly with Leica.
I do feel the delay in coming out with a truly full frame sensor in a truly
compact body is not one of waiting or the technology to catch up.
Its one of waiting for the guts of the marketing people of the photo
industry to catch up with the fact that even though its going to cost a
bunch more to put out a lot of people are still going to buy it.
Just like a lot of people bought Rollei 35's and later other quality
compacts with quality optics even though they could by a plastic point and
shoot for half that.
The full frame sensors were compact enough. They just cost too much.

The Sony marketing people deserve as much credit if not more than the Sony
camera designers and engineers.
