The shots go from 3% white (dark) to 97% white in DNG, I would not ask for a 
wider range (and keep detail) ;-)

Just what I feel  - the whites look so so so far - usually a nocti 
impediment I dislike.
Just my two cents - the rest of the range is perfectly ok to my eye (Imac, 
uncalibrated)
