Yes, and this is not at all OT for this list.

Firefox is known for being a memory hog.  At my office, where I have to use
Windows, I periodically see what you report and have to use Task Manager to
kill it ('end process') and then re-start it.  Sometimes I have to re-boot
to get my memory back.

(Hrmmm....I wonder....no, probably not....)

At home with my Macs I use Safari.
