My Mac Pro is a later model and it was $350US for 32GB (4x 8GB)! Can still
fit another 32GB....

When I got 8 gig of RAM in two 4-gig sticks for my Mac Pro last year, they
were nearly $300. The Mac Pro gets so hot inside that the RAM for it
requires huge heatsinks on both sides that stick out a half inch on each
side. No other computer uses those types of RAM heatsinks, so they're
expensive.
