The only way to cure it was to change lenses, and then change back again. It happened first whilst I was in France on 29 June and again on Wednesday (1 August) so very intermittent. I needed it to be 100% for the Indian wedding I am shooting so yesterday I telephoned Fuji in the UK and said whilst it was not a major problem what did they advise. There response was 'We will send you a new one. When it arrives please just send the old one back to us'. This morning the new one arrived by courier almost exactly 24 hours after I called. Inside the package was a prepaid Special Delivery large envelope to return the old one using the same packaging. So I now have a brand new lens and had to pay nothing for the trouble, nor did I have to visit the local dealer to um and ah about it! Now that is what I call tremendous service and the best I have ever had from any manufacturer. Leica could well take a lesson from them!
