Do not feel the least bit bad!! Or disappointed, as there are "ONLY 1400 ACCREDITED" photographers not including the official Game photographers. Probably another 40-50 bodies! Still photographers are completely screwed as all the best photo positions are locked down for big brother TV crews and the TV camera shoulder camera guys & gals!!!!!!!!! Stills shooters?? Lots of luck! As I said earlier, of all the international games I've covered, this is one I don't feel the least bit bad about not being over there! 1400 shooters today, when at one time about 700 would be accredited limit. Now try to imagine the high end sports, swimming for example and being crammed into the limited amount of room along one pool side photo position! For what it's worth here is swimming at the '92 Summer Olympics with realtime shooters and only half the photogs in place. Now imagine adding the same number again in what space is left?
