Nothing like having to change a flat in the rain - and on the rear wheel 
too, of course!

Sorry to hear about the saddle sores but with all the wet I can easily 
imagine how they happened. Glad to know you found something to help with 
them. I use Bag Balm for long rides, especially in the wet. It's a lot 
cheaper than the special "chamois creams" they sell out there.

I think wet weather makes for more flats - that the shards of glass or 
thorns are exposed when the light coating of dust is washed away. I'm told 
there's a better explanation but I don't remember it.
