I was of that opinion (from experience) when they were LCD only but often
use my X100 that way. Not looking to buy one of these though ;-)

No viewfinder. I have tried taking pictures at arms length, -hate- it. I
even don't use the camera on my phone because of this.
I'm probably in a minority, but after wasting money on several cameras with
no viewfinder I know I would never use it.
