There is an in focus light aid on the bottom left of the view finder , which
the D700 also has, and it works just fine, I use it with my OLDER Nikkors.

If I were trying to get the most out of a Lens, holding the camera at arm's
length too see the live view is not on my list. ( on a tripod,
appears than as a LF camera....)

What focus aids are available????? ( I am sure my Son would like to know, he
has a D700....)
