I can't remember ever wearing sandals in my life.  Too exposed.  Haven't 
worn shorts in public in years, either.  But then, I'm a guy that gets 
dressed on my days off, not feeling comfortable during the day in sleepwear, 
even if I'm only around the house.  I suffer through summer, and long for 
weather where you have to wear a jacket.  Ahhh.
