Subject: [Leica] I'm in the hospital

I had an emergency appendectomy (redundancy) my first year in NY
Ambulanced to Saint Luke's Hospital Thu, May 17, 2007
On Amsterdam. I though I'd undercooked a fresh fish. They told me while I
was there for 3 days that my bag with my glasses and my cell phone and
wallet had been lost.
Turns out they always do this so people do not go cell phone crazy.
I'll never go back there again if I was bleeding to death.
I walked home after three days. A fifteen minute walk down hill. Having my
glasses back on got rid of a three day headache. Then I told the LUG all
about it.
That had been only time I was ever in an ambulance.
My blood pressure was so low they had to hold off on the pain meds.
They cut me the old fashion way instead of the scarless thing with the tube
with the TV camera in it. I was given a reason. "it was right there".
Which I assume translates to "the thing didn't work" at 4 AM.
It's gothic looks had reminded me of the film "the Hospital" scripted by
Paddy Chayefsky, who was awarded the 1972 Academy Award for Best Original
Screenplay. George C. Scott, Diana Rigg
I was pretty sure I was going to be "forgotten to death"
Turns out its the same hospital off of Columbus circle I'm going to now now
that I live 30 blocks south. A brand new building
Well they're better organized there.
It was the same emergency room John Lennon was pronounced dead in there.
But its all been redone.
