Hi Nathan,

You probably saw them in Florida.  They grow throughout the Southern U.S.  I 
looked up today and noted one climbing out of the top of a 20-ft holly tree. 
Since this posting, I have learned that they grow from a tuber, and are 
immune to the usual weed killers.
