Subject: [Leica] OT: I need a better noise buster solution

Thanks all for your help and information. I downloaded the Nik
Software DFine 2.0 trial and looked at the lessons and I think I'm
sold on it. I'll try it for a while and then probably buy it. I also
tried Neat Image but what sold me on DFine was the ability to locally
select in the image or select for colors to apply noise reduction. And
it comes as a plug-in for CS5 AND LR4. Neat Image doesn't support LR.
I'm glad they're finally coming out with more decent plug-ins for
Lightroom. The only negative was after I installed it Windows told me
Photoshop quit working and I had to reboot. I haven't had problems
since the reboot but I hope it's not an 'issue'. I'm at home using my
old laptop with Vista SP2 32-bit. I'm hoping it's not one of those
programs that's not 'Vista friendly'. Has anyone had similar issues
with DFine? I'm hoping it was just a fluke. I'll keep you posted.
