The links below show it in color, though at 100% it is not a sharp image. The other links show nests seen beneath the hood of our 89 Volvo, that sits outside in a carport. These indicate that the potter wasp is in our area. Thanks for your comments. I will check them out further. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Wasp+09.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Potter+Wasp+Nest+35.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Potter+Wasp+Nest+34.jpg.html Jim Nichols Tullahoma, TN USA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aram Langhans" <leica_r8 at hotmail.com> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Monday, May 28, 2012 2:31 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] IMG: Black & White Wasp > Maybe someone beat me to the punch, but it looks like a potter wasp, > family Vespidae, sub family either eumeninae or zethinae. > > http://bugguide.net/node/view/249 > > See if you agree. > > Aram > > > > Aram Langhans > > Semi-Retired (Retarded) Science Teacher > and unemployed photographer > > ?The Human Genome Project has proved Darwin more right than Darwin himself > would ever have dared dream.?
