OK. Home and doing some work to get images renumbered and into LR4.

If you remember, my M8 burped on me and insisted on having something changed
and the only way I could get it done was to reset the internal image/file
counter, and now I must deal with the image file names. which I wish to
reset ..

I tried this once and got some really bizarre numbering patterns..

What I want is:

Starting at my first designated image..

L1000001.dng

Next image : L1100002.dng

Next image : L1100003.dng

And sequence up from there..regardless of the number of cards/file locations
I use...

What I got was. L1000001-1 through something else, then L1000002-1 through
something , then more of the same.. Sometimes by date, sometimes I think
randomly ( I realize this is wrong, but not right is not right and I could
care less what rationale was used to make them not right)

Anyone have more specific instructions than what I have already read, tried,
not understood ( obviously) and screwed up?

I can import from the cards, or put the images in a file ( using Windows
copy/paste commands) and import from there. I do not care which..

Windows 7 and LR4.0
