I DK about the Canon thing, but as already stated here my D700 VF is  
no match to any SLR I've owned ever regarding MF.
OTT it is a marvellous type of film if you see what I mean.

I fully subscribe to your other remarks George, and have been playing  
with lenses a lot too, with its ups and downs ;-)
