Subject: [Leica] Why don't we see more large-aperture wide-angle lenses?

The true normal for the 35mm film and digital full fame image circle is
43mm.
So a 43mm lens would be true normal not a 50. But 50 is close enough. As is
45, 40 or 35 even.
A normal lens is easier to make than a wide or tele. Its easer to make
sharper. Its easer to make lightweight and compact. And because of some of
these reasons its easier to make in a higher speed version.
