I seem to remember that the "Chinese Company" that Nathan referred to, was
actually the one manufacturing the Laptops for IBM.  Essentially, they
bought rights to the name and product line to use themselves.

The Laptops were well built.... possibly the best in the Biz..... 

But that was a few years ago.....

Lenovo is a Chinese company that bought IBM's PC business some years ago.
Initially they continued to use the IBM brand (the sales agreement
stipulated that they could for a couple of years) but then switched to
Lenovo.
