Nice photos and story - your Ektachromes have survived where mine seem 
to have perished from that era, even in dark storage.   The race results 
remind me of the Christmas I decided to buy my spouse a Jaguar.  One of 
my friends wanted to race me on his terms, four times to the grocery 
store and back in a row.  The first time I had it towed, I asked for a 
flatbed since it was a Jag.  The tow truck guy broke down on the other 
end of the line, trying to say he had plenty of experience in towing 
them.  Nice stuff.
