Subject: [Leica] Strange law in Quebec

OT An article in the current issue of Photolife, a Canadian magazine,
says that in Quebec you must get permission of the owner before
taking a picture of a pet. Apparently there is a law requiring
owner's permission before taking a picture of "goods or movable
property" and pets are an instance of these. So, if your neighbor's
cat is lounging on your cousin's sofa, you must get permission from
both your neighbor and your cousin before taking the picture.

The article says nothing about photographs of people :-)
