Focus speed is about the same or maybe slightly faster than that of the 20mm 
f1.7 pancake lens.

Since the set lens aperture and focal length read out properly in the EXIF 
data, my GF-1 definitely knows it has the 25mm Summilux attached, and I 
assume the Olympus bodies would know too.
