A patient with a good result will credit his long term survival to his 
procedure.
A patient with permanent incontinence, ED, etc will wish he hadn't  had 
surgery.
Both will likely live about the same length of time.
The real issue is differentiating the occasional fellow with aggressive 
disease from the majority of men with indolent 
cancer they will die with, not from?.
Hence my recommendation for PSA around age 50.
