The M9 is just about exactly the same as the M8 with regard to how the
camera feels and operates. The files are slightly smaller but still
incredible in their resolution. It's just as sharp as the M9 pixel for
pixel. I use both and switch back and forth seamlessly as if I'm using
the same camera model but with two different focal length lenses, one
on each body.
If I had the spare cash for another M9 I don't think I would get one if
it meant giving up my M8. The M8 is a tool that gives me some options
that no other camera can right now. (ie: M mount, 1/8000 second
shutter, real far-infrared response.) It's just too unique a tool to
get rid of if I'm going to be shooting digital.

My $.02
