Hi Susan,
Interesting images to say the least. Have to give you 3 Stars for effort!
And an "F" for failing to be prepared! :-(

When one is going to be shooting by the available-light of darkness. One
always has a tiny pocket flash-light of some kind.... a tiny one will do. In
their pocket...... "JUST IN CASE!"

THEN YOU WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN FUMBLING IN THE DARK PICKING THE WRONG APERTURE!

No different when one is going to shoot fireworks!! Always have the tiny
flash light! Trust me you only need to blow a couple of shoots and you'll
learn the Boy Scout Motto: "BE PREPARED!" KISS! :-) But don't read this as
.... "KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!" THAT'S FOR THE MALES OF THE TRIBE! :-)

The ladies? "Keep it simple SWEETHEART!"

A couple of things to always have in your gear bag. A small flash-light! And
a small compass! WHY? Just so when you're shoting in strange areas of the
country you'l know exactly east and west in relation to sunrise and sunset.

So endth the lesson.
cheers,
Dr. ted :-)

On September 2-3, I spent a night ?ghost hunting? at the old Ohio State
Reformatory in Mansfield. The prison permanently ceased housing inmates in
1990 and has been used as a location set for movies, including The Shawshank
Redemption. It is allegedly haunted, and some of my family actually did
experience some things not easily explained. I wasn?t interested in ghost
hunting but was interested in doing some ?available dark? photography inside
the building, since the ghost hunt event takes place in darkness. I felt
very depressed inside the building, and wanted to leave, although I wasn't
scared. Here a couple images I came away with. M8, 1/30, Nocti at F4, (don't
ask - I thought I was at F1, but juggling equipment in the dark some weird
stuff is bound to happen)
