Ken we certainly do have tropical cyclones in the northern parts. Typically
in my city (half way down east coast) we would only receive the rain effects
though.

Our cyclones do rotate clockwise vs. the Northern hemisphere anti-clockwise.
I think to do with coriolos effect (often blamed for toilet swirling too!)
More friendly clouds soon (no swirling ones)
