Hi George,

I think it all depends on the desired presentation of the image.  I use the 
Oly E-1, which also has a CCD sensor, but also has its own version of the AA 
filter.  This image was made with the Leica Elmarit-R 60 Macro, and did 
require some sharpening to get what I wanted.  I think that refusing to use 
sharpening, just as a matter of Leica pride, can lead to less than optimal 
images.
