Except that a piece of negative film and a digital image on a monitor
have so little in common as to be incomparable.

I'd refer to
an enlarged print from the film (not scanned)
and
a digital print from the digital file
both as "primary output"
and
with all relevant and comparable visual attributes
including, sharpness, fine detail rendering, et al.
