?? what lens, what film ??

In my experience only fine-grain B&W film has a chance at being as sharp as
a B&W photo from an M8-class sensor, this because converting a file from a
Bayer-filtered sensor to B&W throws out 2/3 of the sensor's image data. For
color photos, comparing the DMR and K25 using the 280mm f/4 APO the
difference was shocking, and this with the DMR at ISO 400. As it turned out
I was glad it was my last K25. When printing (color prints) the biggest I'm
willing to print my film photos now is 11" x 14" because bigger prints are
embarrassingly grainy and lacking detail when compared with 16" x 20" prints
from the DMR.
