About 9 years ago I wondered into a camera store with my Nikon SLR looking
for a different  focus screen, a split image was what I had in mind.   The
fellow asked if I had ever used a rangefinder before, I hadn't, and he
handed me an M3 to check out.  I picked up an M2 a few weeks later.
