Luis.. the D3S image is a 1.6MP JPEG taken under circumstances that we have
no data on.  What lens?  Tripod?  What JPEG settings?  What camera settings?

When viewed at 1:1 on my monitor, I see no signs of noise....  It looks
pretty good to me.  In fact, I see no signs of noise or JPEG artifacting.

What do you see in THIS image that is not what you think it should be?

Is it possible that your opinion of the D3s came from other images?

I am trying to learn about noise..... and what people define as noise and
object to...

Alistair... I am very interested in your D3s v DMR results....   Using the
same conditions, only the camera body being the variable.

IMO the noise it is no too much noticeable and is a nice picture
