The Tri Elmar is a great piece of Leica glass! Is a little big and  
even delicate (changing the focal lenghts you should be precise), but  
if you are used on it is a great lens with the M8 for street  
photography. Is fast to operate, the three focals 28-50-35 are on the  
M8 about 30 - 65 - 50, what I really appreciate, I'm doing more use of  
this lens on the M8 than previously, I've always regret that Leica has  
not build a 35-50-70 instead of the 28-50-35, and the M8 almost match  
this. Another adavantage I find with this lens is that you don't need  
to change lenses and you avoid dust on the sensor.

On the other hand I recognize I'm more happy with my small Summicron  
35 on the M8, is a very compact outfit.
