Ted

I have dealt in a professional capacity with many cruise liners that have
come into Southampton and the general deal has always been that the
lecturers have been given a cruise for themselves and partner in a medium
grade cabin and they have been treated like any other passenger when they
are not lecturing. The cruise ship photographers take care of the going
ashore with passengers etc. and the lecturers have taken care of just
ship-board lectures. Occasionally I have known e.g. Egyptologists go ashore
with parties to the Pyramids as a specialist, but I would not envisage that
you would be expected to do that regarding photography.

I guess it is a case of careful discussions prior to commitment, and I am
sure you are well able to take care of yourself in that respect.

Kindest regards

Gerry
