The M8 is a good camera; and the M9 may have a larger sensor but it
didn't fix any of the problems that are serious ones for my use of the
M8.

The x100 may be a good camera. We'll know when it comes out. It
doesn't matter to me if it can or cannot be upgraded, even if I only
use it for 4 years. That would be a minimum of 60,000 exposures,
about 2c a shot. If Fuji makes an underwater housing for it, it will
be more useful to me than a digital M.

For street photography, if the Fuji has very short shutter lag and
decent autofocus, it will be infinitely more useful to me than an M8
or M9. I rarely zone focus while street shooting and like film Ms
because they are extremely fast. In this shot which doesn't look
'fast':

maybe a tenth of a second later the boats had moved and all I could
see of the guy was the back of his head.

Just my thoughts.

Marty
