The first external card readers were only capable of 2GB, and maybe some
4GB.  After that, they lost their mind.....  I think the correct terminology
was SD capable only.  Not SDHC.

Newer readers are capable of 32GB+++...

I had the older reader, and replaced it with the newer one... It works.

But I think this all started with a cable connection from your camera to the
computer.....and that should have worked no matter what the size of the card
in your M9....
